Kane is an Actor, Theatre Maker and Musician based in Manchester. He developed much of his artistic practice while working with the Bristol Old Vic Young Company and as part of the first ‘Made in Bristol‘ cohort which produced ‘The Wardrobe Ensemble‘. He graduated from Manchester School of Theatre in 2015 with a BA Hons in Acting.
His past collaborations have included ‘Fairground’ and most recently he worked with ‘Rogue Bones’ to devise ‘ANTI_Social Media’ in collaboration with The Lowry and Paines Plough as part of their roundabout project. The show was selected to by Paines Plough to premiere before their own roundabout performance.
Mental, his first solo project as Kane Power Theatre, recently received critical acclaim at VAULT Festival 2017. The premise of Mental is to approach a subject rarely openly talked about, tackle and question it with stories, humour, pathos, physicality and song, and ultimately to encourage people to talk. At root Kane is interested in making meaningful and playful work that welcomes audiences seeking entertainment that also encourages them to think and feel.
Outside of making work, Kane works as a freelance Actor and Voice Artist.
